About the Community Group…

The community group is established to discuss with and inform the residents of Parkgate and the surrounding district, this being defined in the formal sense as the area of benefit, without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, class, marital status, political opinion or religious persuasion, by working with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community sector organisations and the inhabitants

– as per PDCG – General Constitution – signed 5th of July 2011.

🐾 Which class will your dog enter? 🐾The Parkgate Family Dog Show is taking place on Saturday 15 August on the Green, with classes for dogs and handlers of all ages.From Best Puppy and Best Rescue to Fancy Dress, Junior Handler and Senior Handler, there are plenty of opportunities to take part. Every class winner will also have the chance to compete for Best in Show!Entry is £3 per class or £10 for four entries, with all proceeds going to the Parkgate Development Fund.The Dog Show forms part of our wider community day, alongside the Annual Church Barbeque and Bouncy Castles, so bring the whole family and enjoy the day with us.Which class has your dog’s name written all over it? This Friday! We hope to see as many of you all come out to help raise funds for a great charity Diabetes UK Northern Ireland. The route has been set it will be incorporating 3 of our local villages starting at Jim Baker Stadium making way down into Parkgate then onto Doagh via the Burn road, from there we make way to Burnside via Bridge Road and Burnside Road then up to the iconic Holestone. We then will be cutting across the Ballymena line to the Newmill Road, up the Hollybank Road onto Browndod Road, Connor Road then down Ballywee Road past the scenic Ballywee Cornmill and Waterwheel, with the last stretch heading back to Parkgate via the Hollybank and Grange roads then finishing back at the Jim Baker Stadium.Only a few more days until our tractor and truck run, we hope to see as many of you all come out to help raise funds for a great charity Diabetes UK Northern Ireland.
